For generations, skilled women weavers across Nepal have kept this craft alive, passing knowledge from one generation to the next. Over the years, I have had the privilege of meeting many of these remarkable artisans and seeing first-hand the patience, precision and pride they bring to their work.
As a Nepali woman, I believe women’s empowerment plays a vital role in the social and economic development of communities. My purpose is to share the beauty of Nepali handmade textiles with the world while creating meaningful opportunities for home-based, grassroots artisans and informal-sector producers who can find it difficult to reach international markets.

From the delicate fibre to the finished piece, every stage requires skill, time and a deep understanding of the material. Spinning, weaving and finishing are carried out with care, allowing the natural softness, warmth and beauty of the fibre to emerge.
Fine fibres can be exceptionally delicate, traditionally measuring around 15–19 microns in diameter. Working with fibres this fine demands specialist knowledge and a gentle, experienced hand.
